The Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council has been awarded the three-year contract by the Food and Health Bureau to operate the Wong Tai Sin District Health Centre (WTS DHC) as a district-wise primary health care hub to enhance district-based primary health care services.

Service Characteristics

Based on the concepts of "District-based", "Medical-Social Collaboration" and "Public-Private Partnership", the WTS DHC provides diversified health promotion and education, health risk factors assessment and chronic disease management services to the local community through our center and network of multi-disciplinary teams and partner organizations.

Service Objectives

  • Enhance public awareness of disease prevention
  • Promote healthy lifestyle and enhance the public's capability of self-management on health
  • Provide support and rehabilitation management for people with chronic illness.

The Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council (HKSKHWC) was founded in 1966, the Welfare Council has been providing multifaceted services to people of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds in line with its service philosophy - “Personalized Service, Holistic Care”, to “Transform Lives” so they may “Lived in Abundance” and to build a caring society.

Centre Characteristic

The Core Center is located at 2/F, Kai Chuen Shopping Centre, Kai Chuen Court, Diamond Hill, Kowloon. Since December 2022, four Satellite Centers will be set up in Wong Tai Sin (Central); Wong Tai Sin (North) - Tsz Wan Shan/Chuk Yuen; Wong Tai Sin (South-west) – Lok Fu/San Po Kong; and Wong Tai Sin (East) – Ngau Chi Wan respectively to provide primary health care services to the local community.

Wong Tai Sin District Health Centre (WTS DHC) is committed to expanding the scope of its services, cooperating with non-government units and private organizations in the district and adjacent areas to create a convenient medical and healthcare service network for people in the district. Network service providers include doctors, allied health professionals (such as registered dietitians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, optometrists, speech therapists, podiatrists) and traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners. Furthermore, WTS DHC also provides outreach activities on health promotion and consultation services to enhance public awareness of disease prevention.
